I was able to visit Monster Hunter 20th Anniversary - Grand Exhibition today. If you are a big fan of Monster Hunter you need to check out this exhibition before 8th of September. The event will show you the 20 years of hunting in the monster hunter series. The downside is merchandise is sold out when I visit. I hope one day we get to experience exhibitions like this outside of Japan, so more people can experience this incredible event.

I got a 1 on 1 session with Yasayuki Oda during PGDX. Got him to answer a couple of variety questions, such as Returning to SNK, mastering Pixel Arts and as well as Fatal Fury.

PGDX was a great experience! Met incredible people during the event, tons of Indie Games showcase as well. A colossal effort by Joebert Yu and his team, able to pull off a great event despite the flood is incredible.

Finally PlayStation Portal is coming to Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Thailand! I've been contemplating to buy one whenever I travel to Japan (Always out of stock though). And now I can just for the official Malaysia set.

There will be a Golden Screen Cinemas movie themed run centered around Sonic The Hedgehog 3 in Malaysia. I wonder if they will serve chilli dogs when you finish the run?

Nintendo uploaded localized ad videos for both Malaysia and Thailand. This is not just a simple dubbing, but actually having locals in the ad itself. It is also interesting that they launch the campaign now, instead of next year for the new model. Having the localized ads signals higher interest in the SEA market, especially both Malaysia and Thailand. When platform owners spend more effort on promoting their platform, it will amplify other game publishers as well. In the end, the pie gets bigger, and everybody wins.

Capcom is returning to gamescom asia this year, the list of speakers this year is also amazing as usual, and the most exciting part is CPT 2024 SPS is happening! Can’t wait to see and talk to the prominent SF players.
