Although the in-game option says DLSS Frame Generation, once the mod is installed Cyberpunk 2077 will actually be using FSR 3 to generate frames.

The biggest performance uplift available is with FSR 2.1 in Ultra Performance mode, though I wouldn't want to use it if I didn't absolutely have to. It's pretty poor at keeping any of the finer details in the picture. There's one other upscaling mode I don't recommend using: XeSS Ultra Quality mode.

When we launched AMD FSR 3 in September 2023, it was available in two games, Forspoken and Immortals of Aveum™, with an additional 10 games announced as upcoming titles.

To enable FSR 3 frame generation, open your game's Graphics or Display settings, look for the AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 setting and turn Frame Generation on. AMD also recommends turning on a frame limiter or VSync to keep your framerate within the display's refresh range.

We are thrilled to announce that AMD FSR 3 is now supported in 60 available and upcoming games⁴. The quality of built-in XeSS antialiasing is superior to both FSR 3 and TAA, and very close to DLSS in maintaining a stable image without shimmering or flickering of thin objects at 1440p and 4K resolutions.

AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution 3 transforms gaming experiences with massive and responsive framerates in supported games using a combination of super resolution temporal upscaling, advanced frame generation, and built-in latency reduction technology.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be the first game to benefit from Nvidia's latest DLSS 3.5 upscaling technology.

With DLSS 2.5 or FSR 2.1 enabled, you can expect around 30% more performance in 4K "Quality" mode. Going down to 1440p resolution, the DLSS and FSR 2.1 performance increase is not so impressive, as it will boost performance by around 20% in "Quality" mode.
